Hands-On Electronic Neurons

NeuroBytes each simulate one neuron. The LED color tells you about the activity level of the neuron.

Neurotransmitter connections

NeuroBytes are connected into circuits using "neurotransmitter" cables

Red = excitatory
Blue = inhibitory

inputs and outputs

Much like your own nervous system, NeuroBytes can detect environmental input and produce motor output

Experiments and Curricula

We are developing experiments and curricula to allow educators to incorporate NeuroBytes into their courses for anywhere between one day and several weeks.
